It's Monday

It's Monday, time to recover from a busy weekend and look at all of the tasks that lay before us.  What a pleasant weekend it was!  My little eight year old grandson, Axel, did his Piano Book Recital.  He performed perfectly and brought joy to our hearts as well as a bit of laughter.  He is quite the ham!  Our church finished a special project that we had worked on all week.  It went extremely well but I expected that some in our Sunday School Class would miss due to all the time they spent at the church last week.  Most were there even though I knew they were just as tired if not more than I was. 

We looked at the next attribute of Christ's mind in our lesson: peace.  What a joy it is to have a peaceful mind!  To not be troubled by all of the things going on about us is a real privilege.  In Christ we have that.  For  He tells us in John "My peace I give unto you, not the peace that the world gives but My peace. Let not your heart be troubled."  How much better to have the peace of God than the peace of man. 

Man's idea of peace is fleeting and comes and goes with the circumstances.  God's idea of peace is supernatural and never passes away.  It engulfs us like a warm hug or a calming touch.  It is always there to take away the troubles that do come in our lives.  This peace of  God is supernatural.  It is not like what the world gives or what man tries to establish.  The idea of peace in the world is that no one is hurting anyone else.  What a low goal to aim for!  Wouldn't it be far better to just allow the presence of God to set us right with Him?  For it is one of the meanings of peace in scripture is to be set as one again.

 We lost that relationship in the garden when Eve was deceived and Adam sinned.  They walked with God and talked with God but all was lost when they made a choice to take the wrong path.  They were crosswise with God and as a result all mankind comes into this world crosswise with God.  But God, how I love those two words, but God so rich in grace in mercy sent His only son to die on a cross so that we who were crosswise with God can now be set right with Him.  We can be set as one again.  No longer are we apart from Him.  We can now walk and talk with Him on a daily basis as He resides in our hearts through the presence of the precious Holy Spirit.  I am thankful that I am walking on that path, the path of Peace.  I am set right with God and I can now know Him personally.  I don't have to go to a preacher or a priest or anyone else to have contact with God.  He lives in my life and I welcome Him to take complete charge of all that I do for I want to be always at peace with God and have the peace of God and that my friend is the real Truth.

Lost Time

It has been over a year since I took the time to write in my blog.  The last year offered many barriers to overcome both physically and emotionally.  My brother passed away at the end of 2011 and I became swept up in all of the affairs associated with that.  Grieving at his loss was hard to do when daily reminders would arrive at the house in the form of letters addressed to him.  I learned that  my adrenal glands no longer worked and I have Addison's Disease.  This was a real surprise.  It seemed hard to believe.  I found that I was extremely fatigued.  I also, lost my appetite finding it hard to eat anything.  I simply was not hungry.  I thought I was experiencing depression and am so thankful that a friend pointed out that something must be wrong.  I went to see an endocrinologist and learned that I had adrenal insufficiency.  Anyway, after many months I am finally beginning to feel alive again.  All of my brother...

Sitting In the Bleachers

I am horrified to learn that the Supreme Court has upheld Trumps travel ban.  You better fasten your seat belt because his next move will be rounding up other groups that he doesn’t like.  I have never posted about a vision that God showed me when Trump announced his run for the presidency.  I have shared it with a few people but it was so bizarre that I decided not to share it with the general public.  What I am about to say is very strange so I need to lay some background.  Firstly, I knew nothing at all about Donald Trump other than his name.  I don’t generally watch regular TV because it is not that interesting.  As a result I knew really nothing about  the man.  When he announced his run for President, I began to see spirits that looked like frogs coming from his mouth.  I did not understand what this could mean and the Holy Spirit said lying spirits.  The great deceiver filled this man with lies.  Over many years, I rare...

In due time

Isn't it funny that whatever we have to do takes up all of the time we have?  If it is just a brief shopping trip before we know it other things we had planned must be pushed aside.  We plan to make a few phone calls and by the time we are finished all of the day has been spent and we feel as if our time wasn't used wisely.  Such is the life of man, never really taking control just floating with the current, reacting to the events of the day.  So many demands are placed upon us and so many voices try to direct what we do.  Our boss has a goal for us, or perhaps a friend has need of us.  Maybe a spouse is demanding some of our time or a child.  Whoever or whatever sounds the loudest and has the most power over our lives tends to get their needs met the quickest.  Do you ever feel that you are racing over a cliff with no brake and no hope of stopping?  Life can feel that way sometimes.  In the scriptures we sometimes read this phrase, but...
