In due time

Isn't it funny that whatever we have to do takes up all of the time we have?  If it is just a brief shopping trip before we know it other things we had planned must be pushed aside.  We plan to make a few phone calls and by the time we are finished all of the day has been spent and we feel as if our time wasn't used wisely.  Such is the life of man, never really taking control just floating with the current, reacting to the events of the day.  So many demands are placed upon us and so many voices try to direct what we do.  Our boss has a goal for us, or perhaps a friend has need of us.  Maybe a spouse is demanding some of our time or a child.  Whoever or whatever sounds the loudest and has the most power over our lives tends to get their needs met the quickest.  Do you ever feel that you are racing over a cliff with no brake and no hope of stopping?  Life can feel that way sometimes.  In the scriptures we sometimes read this phrase, but God.  This little phrase is a sort of a heads up moment.  The writer is saying, "Pay attention, I have something important to tell you."  In Romans chapter 5 verse six the scripture speaks of due time.  Jesus also operated on a time schedule however his was not interrupted by activities over which he had no control.  He was following a prearranged schedule to get him where he was supposed to be.  Paul says that when we were without strength having lost power over our own lives and unable to take control of our own circumstance, Christ died for us. It is possible that someone might chose to die even for a righteous man or perhaps for a good man.  There's this little phrase, but God set his love toward us, in that while we were vile and lost, Christ died for us.  As we rush through our lives it is hard to grasp that someone actually cares about every part of our being.  But God does.  He loves us just the way we are and in Christ schedule of time, He freely laid down His life for us who did not deserve it, could never be good enough to earn it, but He loved us and died for us.  So the next time you are being pushed about by the currents of life and buffeted by sorrows and pain, their is someone standing in the wing of your life who cares about you.  You are not alone.  Welcome Him into your life and experience the peace and love He can bring. That my friend is the real truth!
